Project Context
Design Class Project Spring 2023 Solo Project Design a poster for a series of events at Golden Gate Park.
Specifications
• 20" x 30" vertical format poster in InDesign with consistent 1" margins. • Max three colors (3 Pantone colors / or / 2 Pantone colors + black). • Maximum two typefaces.
Exploration: Visiting Golden Gate Park
I headed over to Golden Gate Park to check it out and get some design inspiration. It was all about exploring and soaking up everything the park had to offer. I tried out different design techniques like ink stamping, where I created these cool textures and patterns. Then, I did some freehand drawings of the beautiful surroundings. Oh, and of course, I couldn't resist taking a bunch of pictures to use as inspiration later.
Design Direction
I've decided to move forward with the ink-stamping method and created this beautiful collage.
The first iteration of the collage uses all the ink-stamped objects collected from the park laid on the top left corner and bottom right corner.
Second iteration with ink-stamps that fills the entire page.
